For safety and comfort, weight limit for trail ride is 250 lbs / 113 Kgs

I'm a single rider; it says I need a minimum of 2 to book?

Single adult riders will have to call our office to get added onto an existing ride!

What to Wear

Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required. We recommend lightweight longsleeve shirts for sun protection

We had a great time with our wrangler. Nobody in our family knew how to ride and this was a really fun intro to horseback riding and experiencing the high desert. Would definitely recommend this place.

My daughter and I did the evening ride with Ella, and it was amazing. I was nervous because it had been years since I had ridden a horse, and my daughter had never ridden one as an adult. Ella was fantastic, and so was my horse Duncan. Ella picked out the right horse for me, and it was an easy, relaxing, and fun experience. My daughter had a great time too. The view was spectacular, and the other family we were with was very nice. They were much more experienced than us and we all had a good time. My daughter and I agreed that this was our favorite part of our trip.

My family and I had such an amazing experience! We drove up and were greeted kindly by Shelby and Javier and you could tell right away they were both genuine and kind. We were the only ones for that session which turned out to be so amazing and peaceful! The views around the area were breathtaking taking too! All of us connected well with our horses and my mule! Hands down, the best horseback riding experience we have had! I would highly recommend for anyone and everyone! Thank you Rio Grand Stables!

I broke my ankle while hiking last weekend and EMS was able to get a lovely mule named Lady from Rio Grande Stables to give me a ride out. Lady was lovely and I'm not sure I would have gotten out of the gorge without her. Incredibly smooth ride, more comfortable than the ambulance ride! I'm forever indebted to Lady and the Rio Grande Stables. I can't wait to return for a ride when my ankle is better. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
